So I want to tell you something. If you think that Canada's big banks care about you as a customer even though you have dealt with them and worked with them and been their client for many many decades, then listen to this story. I am currently helping an elderly client who is on their deathbed. On their deathbed who is fighting with one of Canada's big banks, the CIBC, about access to investments that they own, it is their money, but they can't get it out.

So if you are gonna work with me and I encourage you to use a mortgage broker and you say, no, no, I really love my bank. I've dealt with them for decades. They've always taken good care of me. I'm gonna be loyal to my bank. Well, I'm sorry. I've heard too many stories where the big banks, the truth is they don't care about you and me. They don't. You're just a number and if you think that they're gonna do good by you when you need them the most, I'm sad to say that you may be very very disappointed. So when it comes to using banks, do what is best for you. Because believe you me, they're not gonna be loyal to you when you need them the most even if you're on your deathbed.
